What We Believe
Life and love in God's kingdom...
We believe in one God who is Creator and Ruler of all things. The essence of the Divine is love and is expressed in God’s desire to live in relationship with each of us as individuals and all of us as the community of God. We believe that God has eternally existed in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.
About Jesus Christ:
We believe that Jesus Christ, who lived on earth in human form, is in essence God. He was both fully human and fully divine. Jesus gives us the truest picture of God’s nature and love for his creation. His mission was to restore the broken relationship between God and his people. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people through his death on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power and victory over sin and death. He invites us to follow his example and live as citizens of his kingdom of love.
About the Holy Spirit:
We believe the Holy Spirit is God’s ongoing presence with us in every moment of our life journey. The Spirit accompanies us to comfort, to guide, to equip, and empower us to be the people of God.
About the Bible:
We believe that the Bible reveals the truth of God’s nature and will. Additionally it tells the story of the divine-human relationship. We believe that it was written by human authors, under the mysterious guidance of the Holy Spirit. For that reason we refer to it as the inspired Word of God. We acknowledge that the majority of Biblical content is set in a particular historical-cultural context. The truths of God contained within, however, transcend both time and culture and are as relevant today as they were thousands of years ago.
